Did You Know????

1. When a person  is convicted of a crime, Federal or otherwise, their Social Security checks are stopped. This is not a disability benefit. It is money that is withheld from wages that are    EARNED  from jobs and careers that , in cases like William Ginglen's, spanned forty years plus. Even worse, the benefits go to people that are over 62 years old. This constitutes an additional "punishment" to  older inmates. This is not an issue for the majority of the prison population, but applies in Bill's current situation.
2. For some reason unknown to this writer, Federal prisoners can be held in county jails with no exercise time. If a window is in the room it is frosted over so no sun or sky is able to be seen. There is no hope to even simply see outside (unless they have to go to court or to the doctor).
3. County jails receive extra money for housing Federal prisoners, so it is common practice to "spread the wealth" and move the prisoners around to different counties.
4. Rapists, sexual predators, kiddy porn producers and even some murderers do much less time than forty years. The man that tried to assasinate the Pope received 19 yrs.
5. Mark David Chapman, the asshole that killed John Lennon, is allowed one hour of exercise time every day. He has also been allowed to have two conjugal visits with a woman he married during his incarceration. Why was William Ginglen denied even one hour a week outside ?? THIS WAS THE CASE FOR A YEAR AND A HALF!!
