Bill is doing the best he can under the circomstances. He has a job as a clerk in the Law Library. Last week he started two classes, one is a Spanish class and the other is a law class. The worst thing is the frequent "Lockdowns". During these, there are no phone calls allowed and no classes. Lockdowns can last for days.  He enjoys getting letters and reading,so "thank you" for those of you who have been kind enough to write!

Welcome to William A. Ginglen's Official website .

We are glad you have stopped by!
William A. Ginglen entered a conditional guilty plea for seven bank robberies.
He was turned over to authorities by his three sons. He was given a sentence of FORTY YEARS in a Penetentiary 550 miles from home.
This site is not here to protest his innocence. He agrees that the crimes he has been accused of deserve punishment. He doesn't, however deserve to die in prison. He is 65 years old and a 40 year sentence will guarantee that the sentence might as well be "Life in prison with no possibility of parole."Without a successful appeal, this will become his grim reality.

The goal for this website is to bring the public's attention to what happens after
all the media have sucked dry the sensational "morality play" and turned a family
tragedy into a three ring circus. How, without murder, rape or gunfire, a 64 year old
first-time offender gets a 40 year sentence in a US Penitentiary. We also want to provide information
about sentencing  for different crimes and how these crimes compare to William's.
We also  hope to help William get this "death-in-prision" sentence reduced.
Any support you can give, be it a kind email or a prayer,
would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you again for your interest!
